A friendly split level bar with an American style street food cafe attached. There's a large garden and car-park. Regular live music most weekends and other events such as a monthly quiz. Toilet for disabled customers.

The pub is named after a large chalk pit (on opposite side of road) which used to contain lime kilns (some local photos are on display in pub)
