This is a modern public bar above the Briarbank brewery. The entrance is to the rear, accessed from the yard. The bar comprises a nicely furnished single room with a mixture of raised seating, comfortable bench seating and chairs around several wooden tables. The counter incorporates some barrels into its design and offers up to three cask ales (including Briarbank Briar Bitter, when available) and some keg beers. Additional seating is available in the yard adjoining the entrance. Briarbank beers were until recently brewed on-site but as at April 2026 are contract brewed elsewhere. As at May 2026 live music takes place once a month on Friday evenings - further details are on the pub's Facebook page. Card only payments are accepted i.e. no cash is taken at the bar.
